Add a CommentGreat read. Gives you a taste of what it really takes to do the job they do. No BS'ing or "Hollywood" images.
One of the best books I've read about Special forces and the Navy Seals. An excellent mix of all the tough training involved these brave warriors go through and several real world combat operations. It seems Seal Team Six has healed from the black eye it was given from the damage that "Dick" Marchinko gave this awesome group of warriors HIghly recommended! .
This is a very good book. It reads like a novel. I would easily get sucked into the book and forget about time. This is the kind of book Spec Ops junkies love, because it teaches things about ST6 (a covert unit, just like Delta), but at the same time it is fun to read. Some of the stuff that Wasdin talks about BUD/S training and what it takes to go through it (it is more about mental toughness than physical toughness) and mission SNAFU's, has been corroborated by other authors who have written about the SEAL's and the Delta Force.
This book will make you feel like a wuss. But it's a great read.
