I enjoyed this book even if it is a type of horror/fantasy genre that ordinarily does not appeal to my Jane-Austen taste. The narration pulls us along and the characters, vividly painted, become nearly real.

fast paced and unexpectedly thrilling. i really like this author and her ability to create unusual female characters. the ideas and themes in this book are very unique and make it an enjoyable read.
