More on the history of Reacher and how he came to be the wanderer. Good story up to the finale when it sort of went off the tracks (sic). Innovative way to cover up a murder but never involve others in your crime-first rule of a survivor.

Another enjoyable Jack Reacher book!
Lee Child's Reacher books make me want make me keen to read his autobiography. Where did he collect all of his military background knowledge, his knowledge of weapons and of brawling techniques? How…

The story of how Jack Reacher came to be a derelict ex-Army guy beleaguered by his past and constantly getting pulled back into it for another round of mayhem. A fun, fast moving read with all the usual suspects doing all the usual…

This book is standard "Reacher" stuff - with one twist. All the books I've read are after Reacher is "retired" from the Military Police of the army. In this one he still has rank. It is as exciting as one can expect and the conclusion is…
This was another great read. Love the series! Lee child is amazing, fast paced, great dialogue, good cast, and believable characters! But Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. OMG! Stop the madness! Think I will stick with the books!

Love these Reacher prequels-it's interesting to see what he was like during his time in the army, though I have to wonder how on earth he managed to last in the army as long as he did!

I like Jack Reacher novels because it's not about whether the hero will survive but how many people will be dead or maimed by the end of the book. Typical Child, entertaining, a bit of sleuthing, and some sexual tension thrown in for good…
I agree. How on earth could a shrimp like Tom Cruise place a big hunk like Reacher. I understand he has bought the rights to all Lee Child Reacher books. What a travesty.

Having read quite a few Reacher novels, I was curious about Reacher's background. This book fills the reader in about why he left the MP. At the end of the story there is a short story, "Second Son", which provides further details about…

Jack Reacher is the man! Another 'can't put it down' read! Simply horrifying that Tom Cruise has been cast as this larger than life character. What were they thinking? OMG
