This one was a bit better than the Israeli spy chases Mid Eastern Terrorits all over globe. It least it starts out like an interesting murder, but it does get back to terrorists at the end.... I did find it more enjoyable than some of…
Meh! Same old, same old. Super Israeli spy and aggrieved soul chases down real badass Hezbollah evildoers while outsmarting the CIA (which has indeed fallen into disrepute) and MI6 (which is much more effective than the CIA but can't…

I liked the posture of forgiveness towards the terrible wrongs of the Catholic Church which are woven throughout the book. I wish this novel could have been a bit more reflective of the ethical tensions in serving justice and retribution…

This reminded me of Jack Ryan et al in the Tom Clancy books: the hero is too perfect, the agency he works for is too noble, the villains are too one dimensional, and the women are beautiful, secondary character foils for their men. The…

I really enjoyed the first one third of the book. The remaining two thirds had too many details which made the reading slow paced, hence only a three star rating.

Featuring Gabriel Allon again who at the request of the Vatican investigares a murder inside St. Peter's cathedral which leads him to a Palestinian plot to destabilize Israel. A good read but somewhat predictable.

Unlike other authors of a series, Silva never lets you down. This is another great thriller with fast paced action, intricate plotting & a little history lesson thrown in. The author obviously does his research & is well versed in the…

An outstanding novel by Daniel Silva brings back his signature character Gabriel Allon. It starts out with a murder in the Vatican, leads to a ruthless Italian who deals in stolen antiquities and has links to Hezbollah, and brings in an…

Excellent story and I believe there was enough material and plot to write two books instead of just one.
The ending was a little disappointing, similar to the last episode of the Sopranos.

Thanks to SPL for an interesting evening with Mr. Silva. Although he needs to update his picture. I guess he, along with his characters, have aged a bit! Next time SPL, turn up the volume on your events.
