I enjoyed this Reacher story, not his best but it still managed to keep me involved. This time Jack is heading to Virginia when he is picked up by two males & one female as he is hitchhiking. As they drive along Reacher starts to become…

Least favorite of the 18 Reacher novels I've read so far. Plot stretched pretty thin and wrapped up too quickly in the end. Too much luck required for Reacher's success and survival this time. Slow and unbelievable.

About average for a Jack Reacher story. Not the best , but still a good read. No one can top the big man for great action, with no prisoners taken. This one has just a little too much back roads country driving.

Another very entertaining novel though the plot is slightly below Child's vaunted standards. And even when Child isn't at his very best, he's still better than 99.9% of the writers out there as his research, wry humour and depth of…

This book has received its worthy rating from a number of readers. Not up to the level of intrigue and action-packed excitement of some of the others in the Reacher series, but nevertheless an engaging and amusing page turner. 3.5 stars…

We love the knight-errant, Clint Eastwood-like Jack Reacher. This is Lee Child's 17th JR bk, & there is definitely not enough action. The conclusion was slightly anti-climatic. Some of the descriptions, once like bastard Hemingway, need…

I am a huge fan of Lee Child. I have read all the Jack Reacher's books.
I absolutely like the character and can't wait to read the next adventure.
Unfortunately, this book was my least favourite. I just could not get into it.

Excellent book. Just like all Jack Reacher novels, there is no lack of suspense or action. Not cluttered with romantic issues nor unnecessary pages of descriptions. Aside from the above, the plot was difficult for me to follow - what…

Excellent first part: full of suspense and mystery, wonderfully witty dialogue. The novel's last part took an abrupt change of direction.Like two different books in one.

Enjoyed this book a great deal. I agree with the other comments that the story falls apart a bit in the second half, but the page turning style of Lee Child definitely makes up for it.
This is novel is predictable, boring, and hardly worth reading. Lee Child's Jack Reacher is shown to be just another thrill happy thug masking as the good guy. Why do I say? He sees one of his female partners brains spilled out by a…

First half gets you interested. Some dragged out parts. The climax is a typical Reacher climax but the end result wasn't the best. Almost confusing at some moments and boring. Lee Child has written better...

first 300 pages fine and I enjoyed typical Reacher till then after which I lost my way as did the auther and all the characters. C H-S
Just got out of the movie and as a serious Jack Reacher fan, I enjoyed it. Cruise does a very credible job and does justice to the character. Put aside your preconceptions that he is too short. Child himself has given Cruise an…
