Clyde Edgerton writes a southern story with excellent character development, description of the setting, and genuinely portrays the cultural era. The story moves quickly and accurately with honest emotions.
Enjoyable listening on CD while working and traveling.
Loved this book! At 78 Mattie thinks she should be slowing down, but when a stray dog wanders into the yard it sets off a whole chain of events that makes you wonder if her neighbors, her church ladies, her family and a runaway juvenile delinquent have to run as fast as they can just to keep up with her!
