Sequel to the thrilling zombie novel PLAGUE TOWN.

Ashley Parker was a ordinary woman who was also a “wild card,” immune to the emerging zombie plague, drawn unwillingly into a shadowy paramilitary organization. Having been ambushed in San Francisco, which is now fully engulfed in the zombie plague, Ashley and the wild cards must pursue the enemy to San Diego. There they will discover adark  organization which seeks to weaponize the plague. But that isn't the worst news. The plague itself has gone airborne, making it transferable without physical contact. It cannot be controlled by anyone, so reports of the zombie swarm are coming in from across the United States - and across the world.

Baker & Taylor
As the zombie plague spreads to other locations across the United States, Ashley Parker and her fellow wild cards are attacked from within and forced to travel to San Francisco - a city in full lockdown, where citizens are ignoring martial law. Original.

14/10 - Another excellent installment in the Ashley Parker series. Why oh why do authors feel they have to kill off a character to keep readers interested? I would be perfectly happy to never have a character die and everyone live happily ever after. For eg. Buffy's Joss Whedon saying that the way to keep viewers happy was to give them what they want temporarily and then take it away (that's a paraphrased quote). I don't agree with that at all. I would have been ecstatic to watch Buffy and Angel in love and fighting vampires for another 4 seasons instead of having her go from Angel to lonely to Spike to lonely again. Ooops, not talking about the book, better get back on topic before this gets deleted for being against ToS.

Dana Fredsti's zombies are great! They follow The Walking Dead zombies quite closely in style and behaviour. The only difference is that Fredsti's zombies who died of Walker's flu have black goo leaking from all orifices. I love Ashley's internal running commentary on the situations happening around her, they're a little like Buffy's quips to the vampires as she dusts them. I thought the ending was great, it really left me eager for Plague World. I hope the new character J.T. turns out to be a wild card as Parkour on a wild card would be very useful.
