Think this was better than series 1. Probably helped that this one had only 5 episodes versus the 6 episodes of series 1. Look forward to series 3. If you like Bhaskar, watch him in Unforgotten.

Not as strong as series one, but still very good. Dr. Sharma must contend with a new preacher whose ignorance seems to cause conflict with the good doctor at every turn. Most of the original supporting cast return and are investigated further, especially a possible budding romance for Dr. Sharma!

Dr. Prem Sharma and his wife Kamini have lived in the tiny Welsh mining town of Trefelin for a year when The Indian Doctor, Series 2 begins. During the five episodes there are interesting storylines as the doctor and his wife deal with an outbreak of smallpox, a zealous preacher as well as continued distrust from the residents. To further complicate matters Dr. Sharma's mother-in-law who disapproves of Prem pays a visit to check up on her daughter. The episodes blend drama and humor in this very entertaining series.

Loved series one, but very disappointed with this series. Can't compare with Ballykissangel or Hamish Macbeth.

Excellent series! Interesting stories, very well-acted, beautiful scenery, well-directed! Great for family-watching, also! I recommend it!
