Lebanon is a country located between the desert and the sea. Its rich soil and varied history have resulted in a world class cuisine. For centuries, the ports of Lebanon dominated the trade routes between Europe, the Middle East, China and India. The our intrepid gastronaut Merilees Parker finds a world of heavily spiced lamb, cooling salads, deliciously strong wines, and sweet pastries filled with pistachios and honey.

Terrific travel log, especially if you are a foodie at heart like me! Merrilees Parker is bubbly and fun, making this food journey one to remember. My favourite world cuisine, Lebanon is also gorgeous and dangerous at the same time! This Planet Food special traverses the entire country, finding regional specialties in each city, town, and valley! Vital viewing to those who are gastronomically adventurous but meek at heart!
