Welcome to the hot new wave of writing about sex: Savage Love. Columnist Dan Savage has hand-picked over 300 letters from six years worth of "Savage Love," a no-holds-barred syndicated sex-advice column which runs in 16 papers in the United States and Canada, including The Village Voice and the San Francisco Weekly. An original and funny thinker, thrashing around in the playground of human sexuality, Savage advises on a wide range of titillating topics:* What is the best seduction music?* How do I come out to my fundamentalist parents?* What is so wonderful about intercourse, anyway?Forget Anka Radakovich and Isadora Altman. Tune in to Dan Savage as he answers these questions and much more in his own uniquely irreverent and sexually spunky style.

I like Dan Savage and really appreciated the humor and bracing honesty of his "Savage Love" sex advice column when I first came across it *mumble mumble cough cough* years ago.
This book is an entertaining (and of course informative) collection of reader letters and DS replies from his early years writing the column.
* I should mention that when he and a friend first brain-stormed the idea of this column, Savage had originally wanted it to be called "Hey Faggot!"
Ahem.
Thankfully, the editor nixed that particular idea, but at Savage's puckish insistence allowed the moniker to be kept as a salutation for a while. It is therefore included in the letters offered in this collection.

Dan Savage has been giving sex advice since 1991, his column originating in Seattle’s The Stranger and eventually going into syndication. This book, Savage Love: Straight Answers from America's Most Popular Sex Columnist, compiles the best of his earlier advice into one laugh out loud read. If you like this book, try Cheryl Strayed’s Tiny Beautiful Things.
