Now she is Widdershins, a thief with a sharp blade, a sharper wit, and help from the mystical god Olgun, a foreign god with no other worshippers but Widdenshins. Not a bad read but a frustrating protagonist who has the intelligence and attention span of a puppy (not to mention emotional maturity) which makes one wonder how she's survived so far and how she has any friends since she seems to get them killed, not surprisingly. And frankly, if you've had a god sharing your head space AND your life depends on stealth, why wouldn't you just talk back in your thoughts, rather than aloud? The humour is also somewhat puerile. Hope the writing tautens a bit more, and the author desists from the back-and-forward-in-time chapter protocol.

Deeply intriguing and well written. The characters are believable and fun to read about. You feel very involved with the story line and understand the motivations of all the characters.
