"For their honeymoon, Anna and Mathieu traveled to Turkey with their camera in hand to learn about Mathieu's Armenian heritage and to learn what modern day Turks think about the Armenian Genocide that occurred in 1915. Sadly, Turkey denies the Genocide for a variety of reasons including that the crimes were actually committed by Armenians against the Turks. Using footage from their trip mixed with interviews, news footage, historical documents and animation, this documentary emerges into one of the most powerful films ever made about the Armenian Genocide"--Container.

A film about a couple's quest for some affirmation on the role of the Ottomans regarding the Armenian genocide of 1915. First of all the introductory portion using an animation was excellent providing a snippet of history from a personal account of the husband. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of a proper translator well versed in English/French and Turkish specially in communicating with authorities, museum curators or just the person on the street so they could basically articulate what they want to say on the questions raised by the narrator which happens to be the wife. Lack of English fluency on the part of the interviewee curtail the necessary information they could possibly provide.
