Amazing movie because of several things. First William Petersen goes the full frontal Monty for this film. The car chase scene is one of the best, and most realistic due to CA drought allowing the LA waterways to be used. Soundtrack matches this dark, sometimes erotic thriller. WP is obsessed with avenging his partner: How far will he go? Willem Dafoe is his deadly foe; whole cast is stellar. The ending shocked me, hard to do.

I liked it even better on the second viewing ! Dafoe and Peterson are amazing,.. and the tightly strung script is great !!
