"[A] unique music documentary celebrating a rock 'n' roll icon: Bruce Springsteen. Working with the filmmakers, Springsteen's fans have helped create a film that reflects on their personal insights and experiences to explore what this timeless artist means to them. Their stories are at times touching, at times humorous, at times extraordinary and they all come from the heart. Combined with previously unseen archive footage of performances throughout Springsteen's career, this is a film by the fans and for the fans"--Container.

Good amateur attempt to sum up what the iconic Bruce Springsteen means to people. His biggest fans are intercut with older concert footage; this results in a sometimes uneven quality but the message gets through that Bruce is genuine and not perfect. There are a couple interludes of him spontaneously jamming with an Elvis impersonator; a street musician; a recently dumped boyfriend whom he pulls onstage for a hug; and a female fan who gets to dance with him onstage. Minor critique: better editing would have resulted in a crisper story (no need to play Jungleland twice.)

Of course the live footage is fabulous, but you can get that with any of his concert DVDs. What makes this unique and worthy of good note is the concert footage of the actual fans and their actual on-stage moments with him (Him 😀). If you love the Boss or if you just love rock'n'roll, you will love or at least like or appreciate this movie. IORR
