A well acted, privileged, psychological and physical medical problem story. May be a little too suggestively graphic with the details of orifices and the elimination of bodily waste and fluids, but if viewed with a scientific, professional and basically animal attitude, then it delivers on the laughs and ends up an OK romantic story, if not quiet smelling of roses.

The film from Germany wants to, in my view, shock and gross out its viewers. It succeeds on both counts. Apart from this, as a film it is fairly creative and avant-garde. Acting by the young actress is good. So for the right audience it`s worth giving it a shot. Subtitles.

This is a German-language film with English subtitles. The DVD box says the movie is "truly funny," "brilliant" and "the year's most outrageously vivacious movie." I found it bizarre and boring. Half-way through I shut it down to go to sleep. I tried to finish it the next morning but after about 20 minutes I gave up and shut it off unfinished. If you are into gross-out movies this is for you. Otherwise, skip it.

Yes, it is filth. It is a detriment to the collection of German films, and should be labeled simply as German porn.

I have watched many movies from the Ottawa Public Library, but have never seen such a disgusting piece of garbage in my life. This movie should be restricted from children, if not thrown in the garbage. There are so few German books and definitely not any new ones, yet the library has money to spend on such grotesque items. I felt sick watching this film. The main actor can only be classified a slut at best. Germany and German film has better movies to offer than this one. Stephan

THE USA WAS DUPED INTO BUYING THIS GERMAN FILM. THIS GIRL WENT TO GREAT LENGTHS TO REUNITE HER SEPARATED OR DIVORCED PARENTS. I DID NOT WANT TO LEARN ABOUT HEMORRHOIDS. A GROSS FILM OF SOFT PORN.

Although I would like to be able to recommend this to my equally open-minded friends, I cannot. We watched this film with fascination; it's replete with scenes of blood, semen, feces, carrots, avocado pits (I think), absurd parental behavior, and hemorrhoids gone ballistic. If this is what you'd care to watch for entertainment, go for it!

A teenage girl preoccupied with what she refers to as her pussy, rubbing it all over a filthy public toilet begins this movie. From there it moves on to problems with her anus, rubbing menstrual blood on her face and that of her friend to become blood sisters, and so on.

I don't gross out but pointless attempts to shock are merely adolescent, as is this movie. Disgustingly adolescent.

a humorous sexual adventure of a troubled teenage girl of equally-troubling divorced parents. The young woman is willing to go to great lengths to reunite her parents. This film can be slightly gross at times, but young people can be gross at times so that is no real surprise. The film uses flashbacks to show us how she grew up to be so sexually and hygienically defiant. Like a lot of young people, the central character uses sexuality to rebel against her parents. Her sexuality also helps define her. In the midst of her sexual misadventures, we poignantly see how children are capable of loving bad parents. I laughed, cringed and, eventually, was relieved when there was a happy ending.

I had heard bout this film being gross & I am a big fan of gross out German films. This film is not as gross as i thought it would be, kinda disappointed by that but it still was pretty gross & definitely not a run of the mill story line. it is original & even has a happy ending ! If your into that kinda thing.

From movie: Everyone hoped that I' d forget. But through her silence
it has become ever greater. Until it has swallowed me.
From book: They all hoped I’d forget. You can’t forget something like that. And through their silence it loomed ever larger for me. Never faded.

Opening from book: As far back as I can remember, I’ve had hemorrhoids. For many, many years I thought I couldn’t tell anyone. After all, only grandfathers get hemorrhoids. I always thought they were very unladylike.
Opening from Movie: As long as I can remember, I've had hemorrhoids. And I 've thought for many years, I shouldn't tell this . Because hemorrhoids only grow with Grandpa's . I thought them to be a very ungirly thing.

From movie but not in book:
Mother to Helen: Jump. (Mother did not catch Helen.) Trust no one. Not even your parents. It' s better to have a scratched knee now, than to have a broken heart later on.
