The is easily one of the most memorable books I've read so far this year. In general food, cooking, and eating has a way of creating strong memories. Author Sasha Martin picked a great vehicle to work through her own complicated memories by creating her cooking blog, and did a great job of sharing this experience with us with this book.

Part cookbook, part memoir, Sasha Martin's Life from Scratch takes one woman's love of cooking and turns it into a meditation about familial absolution.

Interesting memoir about food blogger Sasha Martin, whose blog Global Table Adventure showcased a menu from each of the world's 195 countries. Wish there had been more focus on the cooking project, but a good read nonetheless.
