I enjoyed the narration of this story.
James and Bryan find themselves in this situation and have to find a way to survive. They steal aboard a medical train and end up in an insane asylum. One understands some German; one doesn't understand a word.
The story is a good one, the writing interesting but a bit uneven. There are days and days of James & Bryan lying in bed, pretending to be catatonic....yet when they are taken for shock treatment, the reader is left out, back in the ward, only to spend the next few days in a fog caused by the "treatment". We don't get a feeling for the fear and horror of having to go through such a treatment.
The book starts slow but picks up pace in the second half. In the final pages the action got a bit wild. Perfect Hollywood action.
This story would make a wonderful movie. In the perfect Hollywood world, the unevenness of events would be fixed and this would be spellbinding.

Starts slow but draws one in. Story had an interesting concept. There was some artistic license taken with reality, though. (I would have expected Nazis to be more thorough).
