A sweet gentle movie is the perfect description. A bit quirky but lots to say about young love and the sadness of getting old alone.
A sweet, gentle movie - a rarity these days - definitely a good watch & time well spent.
A keeper for sure. Sweet, funny and wise.
A bit slow getting started, but patience will be rewarded by wonderful characters, dialogue, and scenery.
Some historical notes: the film takes place in 1966, just after Franco's death in Nov. 1965, leaving a newly-reinstated monarchy. John Lennon was there, playing a small role in a black comedy, How I Won the War; while there he wrote Strawberry Fields Forever, and the Spanish teacher still has that notebook with Lennon's corrections. Charming movie about a teacher with dreams and a big heart in Franco's time.
A sweet, gentle film about a middle aged teacher on a road trip to meet John Lennon and the two teenage hitchhikers he picks up along the way. If you enjoy this film, I also recommend the British film Heartlands starring Michael Sheen.
One of the more pointless movies I've seen in a while.
A charming road trip movie, which interesting characters & beautiful countryside.
A Spanish school-teacher dreams of meeting Beatle John Lennon who is making a film in a rural area of Spain. On the way, he gives a ride to two different strangers that are running away from their problems. This is just a delightful film of delightful characters and you hate to have to say goodbye to them at the end of the film.
