Jazz guitar duets (and a few guitar and piano duets). More tasteful than “smooth jazz” but mellow nonetheless, there are a variety of understated styles. Pleasant enough and played with consummate skill (the first piece is the most interesting, with its off-meter references to folk music), but in general not quite what I prefer.
Couldn't agree more with Thomas Whiting, whose review is below mine. The entire album is filled with one beautiful jazz number after another. If you like relaxing jazz music, this is for you! I hope this will just be the start of a great collaboration!
VERY GOOD 2015 cd with 10 cuts of guitar duets featuring Kevin Eubanks and Stanley Jordon. The two talented players mix it well together in a variety of styles.
