Couldn't disagree more with comment from 7626dee. I believe Eve's past and the battle with her duty at times, makes her much more believable. Her sometimes tough stand shows her humanity. Love the series and often reread many of the titles. Keep them coming J. D.

The dead guy is bad but we must find justice-I guess- but the flashbacks seem so out of place with our very hardboiled detective. Nora Roberts keeps popping to the fore trying to romanticize and humanize our heroine. Result is a very unbalanced personality. I like the hardboiled side.

one of the better stories in this series so far. It's a good puzzle balanced with the development of the relationship between Eve and Roarke.
