A letdown after Empire Strikes Back, but still a classic.

This one is my favorite of all the Stars Wars movies: the imagery of the forest, the Ewoks, the inside the death star chase scenes, Jaba the Hut and the monster in the desert. I only watched the new edition - which is just as long as the original on disc 2 - which included the ghosts Anakin (H. Christensen) and Yoda at the end. The death of Yoda was unusual... and a disappointment for he is an interesting character.

Return of the Jedi is the perfect end to the original trilogy and clearly showcases the growth of each character and their relationships with each other. With new truths coming to light and the final few battles of the war, each scene in this film is captivating, leaving no room for boredom. Costume design has improved significantly and truly makes such a difference to the film, symbolizing where the characters are now versus where they were in the first film. As a final goodbye to Luke, Han and Leia as a trio on screen, the film gives them a deserving end and the introduction of a new species that has the audience melting over their cuteness. @RiverPark of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Star Wars Return of the Jedi is the third movie in the star wars series by George Lucas and the last following Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo. The movie starts off with Jedi knight Luke skywalker, princess Leia Organa, Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO trying to sneak into Jabba the hut's palace in order to free Han from being frozen in carbonite. They go to Endor in order to destroy the more powerful death star. Luke then leaves to go find Darth Vader and face off in a final battle with him. If you enjoyed previous Star Wars movies, I would highly recomend watching Star wars Return of the Jedi. This movie has a happy ending and is suitable for kids of all ages. Also some of the best scenes in the Star wars franchise are in this movie when Luke faces off against Vader in an attempt to bring him to the light again. We get to see a very authentic transition of Luke between teenager and adult. Overall, if I had to rate this movie, I would rate it five out of five stars

Return of The Jedi is my favorite film in the whole space saga. This movie was thought to be the last movie in the story until 2015 when more movies were made. But before 2015 everyone thought they had seen the last Star Wars movie of the Skywalker saga so, director of Return of The Jedi George Lucas had to end it with a BANG. George definitely came through with another amazing Star Wars movie. The music was exceptional, the action was incredible, and the effects were amazing. The story line about how the power of family and love is greater than anything else really shows in this film. Making it more relatable to the audience while still trapping them in this fantasy world. This movie will always be my number one. 5/5

Return of the Jedi is my favourite out of all the Star Wars films. The movie is a conclusion to the entire story and has one of the most emotional finales in any movie. The movie is fairly long but the entire time you will stay interested and engaged. The characters develop more and more throughout the movie and it really makes you feel an attachment to the main characters and the original villain. It ends in a very cliche'd way but it works incredibly well for the movie. The music once again is consistently incredible, and the score for the final battle is just as moving as the battle itself. This movie hits every mark for me and is one of my favourite movies of all time. 5/5

The last movie in the original trilogy. Very good movie that ties it all together.

Perhaps my favorite Star Wars movie. The ewoks are cute, the final battle is great, and I really all the scenes with the commandos sneaking around endor. I've also seen some videos on the background of the Star Wars movies. I have heard that Captain Rex is one of the endor commandos in episode 6!!!!

It is the best movie out of the whole Star Wars Story. One objection: Leia's clothes get a little small. It is not the character's fault, it is the director, producer, and actress's (Carrie Fisher) fault.

My all time favorite Star Wars film. For years I've been wanting to see the film in it's close to original format. When I found out there was a limited edition of the original film on DVD at my local library I couldn't say no, so I placed a hold on the film and waited.

I was expecting the original 2006 limited edition non-special edition DVD. But to my disappointment I realized I had waited four whole weeks (or longer) for a 2013 disc with the awful changes not present in the 2004 or 1997 Special editions. And for someone who grew up with the 2004 Special Edition, this new "updated" version of the film is by far the worst.

If you are expecting the original (maybe not the best quality) version of 'Jedi' you won't get it, just the new unnecessarily, highly tampered version with the infamous Vader "Nooo!". For now it's just better going online and downloading the fan-edits/preservation's of the films like the De-specialized Editions until Disney somehow releases the highly demanded unaltered HD versions of the trilogy in the (hopefully) near future.

The best book in the series in my opinion. The ending is very satisfactory, and it well completes the series

Darth Vader: Luke... help me take this mask off.

Luke: But you'll die.

Darth Vader: Nothing... can stop that now. Just for once... let me... look on you with my *own* eyes.

[Luke takes off Darth Vader's mask one piece at a time. Underneath, Luke sees the face of a pale, scarred, bald-headed, old man - his father, Anakin. Anakin sadly looks at Luke but then gives a tired smile]

Anakin: Now... go, my son. Leave me.

Luke: No. You're coming with me. I'll not leave you here, I've got to save you.

Anakin: You already... have, Luke. You were right. You were right about me. Tell your sister... you were right.

[Anakin smiles and his eyes begin to droop slumps down in death while giving one last dying breath]

Luke: Father... I won't leave you.

Darth Vader: "Luke, I am your father."

Yoda: "Do or do not. There is no try."
