Everyone-- but the People

Everyone-- but the People

How Everyday Taxpayers Overcame Vancouver's Elite and Defeated the TransLink Tax

Book - 2016
Rate this:
How a tiny grassroots campaign, with no money, behind the polls won an upset victory against the establishment who outspent them 175 to 1. The elites thought they had it all in their campaign to impose Canada’s first municipal sales tax on the people of Metro Vancouver. A $7 million, taxpayer-funded war chest. More than 150 organizations endorsing the plan. Virtually every mayor, councillor and provincial politician on their side. Business groups, unions, environmentalists, and academics, all grinding the public to accept the sales tax and funnel $250 million more a year to TransLink, the bloated regional transit bureaucracy famous for wasting money. On the other side stood the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, with less than $40,000, and its clever, populist No TransLink Tax campaign. Led by Jordan Bateman and Hamish Marshall, the NO campaign hijacked the elites’ campaign strategy, pushed the professional political class off message, and equipped thousands of supporters with the facts about TransLink and the tax. It turns out the elites had Everyone... But the People. A vital book for political campaigners, advocates, or anyone who wants to understand how to win.

Did you notice that the former "Health Services" have become "Authority?" And that Translink is also mentioned in the Media as an "Authority?" Looks like the System is becoming all "Authority", who command the "People." Looks like the Commi system of Stalin is coming at us step-by-step. And do you know who was the Security Advisor of Bush Jr. in his 2nd term? Have a firm grip on the handrail, buddy: - it was Comrade/Tovarish Chertoff of the KGB. He gave the advices for this transformation. By the way, a guy of the Ford Foundation said that the 2 Systems will be seamlessly brought together (i.e. Stalin's and the West's). And if you still don't believe this, read Milton William Cooper's book: "Behold A Pale Horse" available in VPL. You will fall off your chair; it tells the legally documented plans of changing America. Now, back to Vancouver - days ago it was in the daily newspaper that the number of staff paid more than 100,000$ a year at the Vancouver City Hall has doubled to 1,300 since last year. They too are Authorities, Councillors, creating new and new by-laws for even how many times we are allowed to breathe per minute. They invented the harassment of bikers and the composting project (creating rotting garbage depots).

Jordan Bateman has simply packaged up his lies - already spread widely by a news media that lost the plot years ago - into a book which is now available on a long-term basis to hoodwink the public on its own dime. His assertion that Translink wastes money is not reflected in the half-dozen financial audits Translink has endured in the past 10 to 15 years, but Jordan Bateman never let the truth stand in the way of a good story...or a fat paycheque for himself.
