Her relationship with a handsome plastic surgeon even gives her hope for the last point--"fall in love again." At least until crisis chaplain Seth Donovan steps back into her life, reawakening unanswered questions about her husband's death. While in San Diego to train community volunteers, Seth hopes to learn why Taylor is backing away from the crisis team and from their friendship. But nothing prepares him for the feelings that arise when he sees Taylor again . . . and sees her moving on with another man. When a community crisis hits home and puts lives at risk, emotions run high and buried truths are unearthed. Will hope make the survival list?

I loved this book!
I loved how the storyline continued with Taylor’s life and her move to San Diego. How she tries so hard to move on from her grief, leave behind everything and anything that reminds her of her late husband, including friends, family and careers.
I loved reading about how even though she thinks she’s moving on and fixing her life, she’s really just trying to burry it on her own but she is getting ahead of God’s plans.
I also really loved how Taylor’s love interest is Seth, who we also met in the first book of this series. When I was reading the previous book and read their shared scenes I couldn’t help but think they would be perfect together, so I was really happy when I started reading this book and could see in what directing the book was heading.
I think this book really teaches us to always trust in God and wait for Him to heal us in His time and when He knows we’re finally ready to move on. We shouldn’t get ahead and try to rush God’s perfect plans for us and our lives.
I’m also excited to read the next book, which focuses on Sloane.

One of the most compelling books I have read in a long time in places it hardly seemed like fiction dealing with death notification and on going grief in many different forms. This is the best book in this series I have read so far and will definitely continue reading this author.
