(*Note* - The following is the once-famous "Lizzie Borden" folk-rhyme)

"Lizzie Borden took an axe,
Gave her mother forty whacks,
When she saw what she had done,
She gave her father forty-one."

Chop-Chop-Chop-Chop-Chop-Chop-Chop-Chop!!

And so - (On that hot August day back in 1892) - After both Abby and Andrew Borden had been struck for the final time across the skull with the sharp blade of the axe - Was it, in fact, their beloved daughter, Lizzie who was the one guilty of committing such a ferociously brutal and cold-blooded double-murder as this? - or - Was Lizzie really innocent?

Through a compelling narrative - Author Sarah Miller offers the ever-curious reader her own, personal investigation into this truly puzzling and chilling crime that had absolutely shocked the nation of yesteryear right out of its socks.

Featuring 24 pages of period photographs, as well as numerous newspaper clippings - Miller's well-researched book races swiftly along like a true-crime novel that is certain to keep the inquisitive reader asking questions right up to the very end, and beyond.... (*Watch video-clip*)

interesting book. it's too bad they didn't have today's CSI techniques available back then. It could have helped close this case. I think she had something to do with the crime, but based on the evidence admitted at trial I understand the jury's verdict.
