Originally released back in 1968 - "Procol Harum" was the self-titled debut album of the pioneer prog-rockers, Procol Harum, who emerged (momentarily) onto the music scene during the latter-part of the 1960's "British Invasion".
Jumping onto the psychedelic bandwagon that was moving along at full-force during this period in rock music history - This album, surprisingly enough, received more attention in Canada and the USA, than it did in the UK, and the rest of Europe.
This offering is a reissue. It is presented on a 2-disc set that contains the album's 10 original tracks, plus 13 bonus tracks of extended versions and stereo remixes... (*Watch music-video*)
Released in September 1967 - "Procol Harum" would be the debut studio album by English rock band Procol Harum.
This CD contains all 10 original songs, plus 8 bonus tracks, as well.
A WHITER SHADE OF PALE is a song that epitomizes rock artistry. The Beatles dug this song.
Procol Harum's first album is simply one of the best albums of the 1970's. "A Lighter Shade of Pale" was the big hit on the album. Don't overlook the rest of the cuts though. This is a top notch British Rock Band!
