This was an amazing book, but I'm really sad that it's the last book in the land of stories series.

This is the last book in The Land of Stories series--very much going to miss this entertaining series! I've listened to each of the books in audio format and the author, Chris Colfer, does an amazing job. When a portal from the Fairytale world becomes real in the human world, the twins and their friends have find a way to close the portal so both worlds won't be destroyed. This book wraps up many details, and we see what happens to Connor and Alex and all their friends. Well done and I'm sorry there won't be any more books in the series.

I just finished this! Sixth and final book in the series. A great conclusion to Alex and Connor's adventures in the Fairy Tale World.

I began the series 'The Land of Stories' when was ten years old. I found it very entertaining and quickly sped through the first and second books. I was very happy with the suspenseful and well-written storyline. But then the third and the fourth came out and I choked. THIS was what Chris Colfer, best-selling author, had to offer me? A painfully weak plot with even worse characters? The series pretty much flopped in my eyes. The fifth was okay, but not all that great. I felt as though Alex was really polite, brave, and smart and Conner was really lazy and stupid in the first one. Then it switched on the second book, and Alex had no self-control, was worrisome, and sentimental while Conner was kind, funny, and helpful.
Now, after reading 'Worlds Collide', I think that Colfer actually put some effort into it, brought the characters together, and concluded the series nicely.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: Alex gets turned evil by witches' potion, witches are super sick, and Morina—she's just a MONSTER (I can't describe it in words; you have to read the book)

Violence: Lots of fighting, head and hand getting chopped off, curses, etc.

basically what happens is everybody escapes the fairytale world and there is a bunch of different little mini-wars and both of the literary armies are fighting and it is just a lot of drama and awesome chaos!!

"Sweetheart, 'happily ever after' DOES exist, it's just not what you think. 'Happily ever after' isn't a solution to life's problems or a guarantee that life will be easy it's a PROMISE we make ourselves to always live our best lives, despite whatever circumstances comes our way. When we focus on joy in times of heartbreak, when we choose to laugh on the days it's hard to smile, and when we count our blessings over our losses—THAT'S what a true 'happily ever after' is all about. You don't get there by being perfect; on the contrary, it's our humanity that guides us. And that's what fairytales have been trying to teach us all along." - John Bailey
