Collects the assessments of more than two dozen psychiatrists and psychologists, who mutually agree that the 45th President is seriously mentally ill and poses unprecedented consequences to the world if allowed to remain in office.

McMillan Palgrave

The New York Times bestseller! More than two dozen psychiatrists and psychologists offer their consensus view that Trump's mental state presents a clear and present danger to our nation and individual well-being.

This is not normal.

Since the start of Donald Trump’s presidential run, one question has quietly but urgently permeated the observations of concerned citizens: What is wrong with him? Constrained by the American Psychiatric Association’s “Goldwater rule,” which inhibits mental health professionals from diagnosing public figures they have not personally examined, many of those qualified to answer this question have shied away from discussing the issue at all. The public has thus been left to wonder whether he is mad, bad, or both.

In THE DANGEROUS CASE OF DONALD TRUMP, twenty-seven psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health experts argue that, in Mr. Trump’s case, their moral and civic “duty to warn” America supersedes professional neutrality. They then explore Trump’s symptoms and potentially relevant diagnoses to find a complex, if also dangerously mad, man.

Philip Zimbardo and Rosemary Sword, for instance, explain Trump’s impulsivity in terms of “unbridled and extreme present hedonism.” Craig Malkin writes on pathological narcissism and politics as a lethal mix. Gail Sheehy, on a lack of trust that exceeds paranoia. Lance Dodes, on sociopathy. Robert Jay Lifton, on the “malignant normality” that can set in everyday life if psychiatrists do not speak up.

His madness is catching, too. From the trauma people have experienced under the Trump administration to the cult-like characteristics of his followers, he has created unprecedented mental health consequences across our nation and beyond.

It’s not all in our heads. It’s in his.

"There will not be a book published this fall more urgent, important, or controversial than The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump...profound, illuminating and discomforting" —Bill Moyers

Do you wanna hear what I think?

If 27 "so-called" mental health experts were to psycho-analyse me and they were to collectively come up with a potentially dangerous diagnosis of my present state of mind (as they have here in this book about US Prez, Donald Trump) - Then - You can bet that I'd not only be put on some serious medication - But, I'd probably be committed to the nearest insane asylum, as well. It's true.

Personally speaking - I think that this book is an absolute joke on all counts. And, the biggest laugh of all (in regards to the content of its truly nonsensical psychiatric rhetoric) is that those who are reading it are actually believing it all to be true with an absolutely straight-faced seriousness.

Like - C'mon, everybody - Get a life, already!!

Psychiatric malpractice which was long ago prohibited - analyzing and diagnosing a patient which the doctor never personally interviewed or examined. Pure bovine excrement!

I don't need to read this book to know the Orange Idiot is a moron. All you need to do is listen to him once to know he is a con man - but not even a very good one. That is why Dumpy said he loves the uneducated - they are the only ones who fall for his lies.

Personally, I think that this book is nothing but a hoax. (You are certainly welcome to think otherwise) To me - This is the sort of book that laughs (Ha! Ha! Ha!) right in the reader's face 'cause the reader so earnestly wants to believe that what's been written in these pages is being told on the level. But, it's not the case.

If these 27 so-called psychiatrists/mental health experts had actually met US prez, Donald Trump personally and diagnosed his mental state at that point - Then - Yes - I could accept what they are saying was sincere and holds some justifiable validity.

But these psychiatric clowns are only assessing the mental state of a persona manufactured for the public to see (like an actor) and not that of a real person. So, what they report here is all mere speculation and, in the long run, doesn't hold water. And, in this anti-Trump book they are, of course, saying exactly what people who detest this mega-monster want to hear.

Anyway - It's all up to you to read this strongly-biased book for yourself and then you can decide, once and for all, WTF's what.
