In this darkly comic French crime series wheelchair-bound police captain Fred Caïn is quicker and more mobile than most able-bodied people. In his investigations, he spins circles around suspects and digs deep inside the darkest hidden corners of the human mind. A motorcycle accident caused by speeding and his own use of narcotics has left him unable to walk, but clear-eyed about criminality and motive.

This is an unique, fascinating detective series! It starts slow, but picks up as the episodes continue!
There have been classic wheelchair-bound-detective- series in the past! This is one is refreshing in that this particular Detective is very much in the middle of all the action and insists on it!
It is also an honest, realistic portrayal of what it is like to live with such a disability, and all the emotions involved.. from the both sides of his personal relationships!
This Series is balanced.. it has serious and light-hearted moments! Humour, charm, pain, doggedness, sincerity, passion, imperfections, realism.. he has it all! The show does not glamorize!
The mystery stories are unique, also, and will take you right in!
I recommend this enjoyable series!

Lord have mercy if this drama is a realistic portray of how the French Police operates. The main character, a police captain, would have been fired if he works in any jurisdiction in North America. He has no qualms in breaking and entering homes without a warrant, sexually harassing female colleagues, having sex with a suspect and none of his crime solving has enough hard evidence to stand up in court other than the perpetrators all end up confessing to committing the crimes.
