I grabbed this movie because it looked like a quirky comedy, maybe mockumentary - especially because of the featured actors. I was wrong, it was so much better than that. It has it's funny moments, but I wouldn't call it a comedy. It gives a very relatable, unflinching take on marriage and pointent reflection on grief of unrealized dreams. I think it will hit home with most 30 somethings. The music in it is pretty great too. Just a great little independent flick.

"Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" meets "Begin Again"

I thought it was hysterically funny! I like all of these actors (Lister-Jones & Hanks both star in TV's Life in Pieces) and Fred Armison is great! This movie is quirky with a really good ending.

Stinka-rooney. I kept skipping ahead to see if there was anything good- there wasn't, I skipped through the entire mess.

Zoe Lister-Jones and Adam Pally play a married couple who’ve become jaded with each other and spend a lot of their time together bickering about petty cohabitational issues. When their marriage counselor bails on them, they turn to writing punchy, lo-fi, garage songs as a way to exorcise their grievances. The two have such good chemistry, and don’t come off as being genuinely contemptible to one another that you might wonder why they hold on to such inconsequential differences, but as is the case with a lot of relationships showing cracks, their issues lie deeper than what’s seen at surface level.

Band Aid’s songs are catchy, the characters are endearing, and the marital disharmony feels honest. Kudos to Zoe for filling her production staff with almost 100% women too.

Off-beat, funny, diverting enough for the duration. Lots of F-words, with some insight here and there.

Band-Aid is a slow moving movie featuring a stereo type argumentative newly married Jewish couple. The rift is her recent miscarriage. The couple decides to sing out their differences on stage. The go on stage with their songs. Their band's drummer, the next door neighbor, is a member of Sexual Addicts Anonymous. That dynamic plays into the plot. The couple in conflict reminded me of the Bickerton's comedy act. I give Band-Aid 2 and a half out of five. Glad it wasn't any longer.

Some will really like this and some may be turned off. We liked it because it was a bit different and the music was good (and a bit different). Loved the sex-addicted neighbor/drummer character! Pay attention to his dialog - it's pretty funny. During the course of the film, you come to understand the tragedy at the root of their emotional problems. The "talk" that the mother gives her daughter about life from the husband's perspective is very insightful (and spot-on?)!

Low-budget film about a dissatisfied low-income artsy couple who find writing song lyrics together helps them open up and communicate. Some adult situations and strong language, but these hyper-verbal characters display a generally sustained level of wittiness in their snappy, sexy, ironic contemporary repartee.
