Probably for film aficionados only. This is the most unconventional film that I have seen this year. The first half is about a mother trying to save her injured son. The second half is completely different, often about dreams of dark forests and dark waters. A bonus for Americans is we get to see realistic scenes of life in the non-downtown section of Kinshasa, Congo. This was awarded the second best film in the Berlin Film Festival. While the film is not political, it shows a country run by oligarchs and mafia bosses where the main objective is to siphon the money to the ruling class and to leave the masses without a safety net (does this remind you of another country currently going towards this condition?).
