For one special security guard, tracking people down is a paranormal sort of hobby. Able to use his rare abilities to find people, David Dunn is suddenly given a job that seems more daunting than all the others before it. He'll need to find Kevin Wendell Crumb, and time is of the essence. But part of the problem is that Crumb is an extremely disturbed man and with 24 personalities, he's a lot more complicated than the others Dunn has found.

4/5

Glass is the psychologically-thrilling continuation of the two other films directed by M. Night Shyamalan, Split and Unbreakable. At the end of Split, it is revealed that the two movies take place in the same world. Glass completes the Unbreakable trilogy.

The film focuses on three main characters; one being security guard David Dunn, who possesses superhuman skills, including the extraordinary ability to see crimes that people have committed just by touching them. Another character is Kevin Wendell Crumb, who has 24 different personalities, including The Beast, the strongest one, and is dubbed a villain at the end of Split after capturing three young girls. Kevin is also known as The Horde. The third character is Elijah Price, known as Mr. Glass, due to his frail bones that break easily. He’s obsessed with comic books and proving that David’s a superhero, after having survived an accident, caused by Elijah himself!

The movie commences with David tracking Kevin down at a factory where he has captured 4 cheerleaders. As “The Beast” is released from Kevin, the two battle it out. Authorities break up the fight and the two are moved to “Raven Hill Memorial Mental Institution”, where Elijah is also currently placed for being responsible in the previously mentioned accident which revealed David was invincible.

David and Kevin are separated into different rooms containing both their weaknesses. For David it’s water, and the room contains sprinklers. Kevin’s room has chaotic lights that forces him to randomly change his personalities. Dr. Ellie Staple explains to both of them that her job is to deal with people who believe they are superheroes and tries to explain that they’re insane, rather than superhuman. David and Kevin begin to believe her, but Elijah is determined to learn about the powers of both and creates a plan to let the world know about their abilities, hoping that others with powers will also rise. After Dr. Staple tells Elijah that there are many cameras all around the mental institution, he escapes and frees both David and Kevin. A fight arises in front of the institution between Kevin and David. Truths are revealed regarding David’s weaknesses and the true death of Kevin’s father, who was actually killed in the same accident that Elijah caused. Having learnt this new information, The Beast slowly breaks Elijah’s body. After an intense series of events, including deaths and revelations, the film concludes with the spreading of security camera footage which reveal the existence of superhumans to the world by Elijah’s mother, Joseph (David’s son), and Casey, one of the girls Kevin kidnapped but spared the life of.

Although a bit confusing at first, Glass is an intense yet exciting movie which satisfyingly completes the trilogy, bringing together two unlikely worlds. The ending was a bit disappointing, but understandable. I strongly recommend to watch the two other films in this series before Glass to understand the concept of the characters. I suggest this movie to those who enjoy psychologically thrilling and action movies.

I loved split and really any M Night movie I will watch and love! I think this movie fell short but I loved the concept at the end and the cast! Split was amazing right up there with the village and sixth sense! I hope we get more out of this writer soon!

Don't let too much time pass between watching the earlier parts or it will make even less sense than it does on its own. Actually pretty abysmal even after we managed to put the pieces together.

The plot has almost nothing solid to it. Willis seemed to be aware of the quality of the writing and just kind of showed up; no need to take his role seriously if the writing wasn't given the attention it needed. McAvoy did a little bit better. Jackson was actually quite good throughout; so were the youth who played the character's younger periods. A relatively poor project, overall. "Unbreakable" is very good. "Split" is decent. No need to watch "Glass".

Awful film. The plot has lots and lots of holes. The human rights has been so violated in this movie especially with what has happened to Mr. Unbreakable. Even though it’s only movie it should have made sense still. Weak acting and the psychiatric’s acting is the weakest. Did the writer intend to make her as the fourth character? It’s not clear where the direction the writer wanted to go. Waste of time.

It’s an interesting concept, but not always easy to follow. Might have to watch twice to get everything.

It’s not Shyamalan’s best but not his worst by far. If you like supernatural films (More so than superhero...) this flick is worth a watch.

After watching Split, I thought this movie would continue on how that movie was so amazingly great. It sort of did in one case, the amazing acting of James McAvoy and his playing of many multiple personalities and how he switches on a dime without cutting the camera.

The secret society and the ending kind of killed the movie, I wish it was more of a 3-way anti-hero vs villian vs villian type movie but it ended up being a us (super powers) vs them (non-superpowers) type movie. Still, since you are renting from the library, it is worth a watch to see James McAvoy reprise his character(s).

I do like these actors. I think the attempt to make a different style of movie does work.
Does seem to be either love or hate.

wow what a simply awful movie.. watching paint dry would be just as enjoyable. Characters that were created with at least a bit of depth were rendered one dimensional. People that paid to see this must have been rabid when the credits rolled..

Elijah Price: [narrating] There are unknown forces that don't want us to realize what we are truly capable of. They don't want us to know the things we suspect are extraordinary about ourselves are real. I believe that if everyone sees what just a few people become when they wholly embrace their gifts, others will awaken. Belief in oneself is contagious. We give each other permission to be superheroes. We will never awaken otherwise. Whoever these people are who don't want us to know the truth, today, they lose.
