On an island off the coast of Ireland, guests gather to celebrate the joining of two people--the groom: handsome and charming, a rising television star; and the bride: smart and ambitious, a magazine publisher. As the champagne is popped and the festivities begin, resentments and petty jealousies begin to mingle with the reminiscences and well wishes. And then someone turns up dead.

A group of people, each with a secret of their own, and some with resentment against others in the group, are all gathered on a remote Island to celebrate the wedding of a famous couple who is loved/hated but mostly envied by all , what could possibly go wrong?
I'm not a big fan of mystery/ thriller genre typically, but this one really got me hooked til the last page.

This is the kind of book you'd love to watch as a movie. It deserves to be on the Fast Read list for sure. It was a page turner by the end. You think that the details, the characters are unnecessary. But everything makes sense at the end. It was giving me the Big Little Lies kinda vibe by the end. The Agatha Christie element was there for sure, but then nothing compares to a Hercule Poirot mystery. The ending was just dramatic enough and plucks the string of satisfaction just close enough in the reader.

Believe the hype! THE GUEST LIST is a clever take on the classic locked room mystery. It has an atmospheric setting and a large cast of mostly unlikable characters with secrets and motives of their own. These elements set the stage for a highly entertaining whodunit with plenty of twists and turns. Author Lucy Foley has produced a well-plotted thriller that will keep readers guessing, not only who’s the murderer, but also who’s the victim. THE GUEST LIST is a quick, unputdownable read. I recommend it.

Anyone could easily guess the ending halfway through the book. Highly overrated!

The ending of this book, deserves more stars than I can give it. The twists and the turns don't come until towards page 200 and from page 200 on- I was HOOKED. I could not put it down.
I did not expect who was killed, to be the person I assumed at first. And the murderer completely shocked me.
The connection they all had was even mind blowing and I could not get over it.
I wish I could say, I REALLY liked it- but the beginning of the book was just so slow and I could not get into it. The constant switching at the beginning and some of the chapters were unnecessary, I would have liked to go in deeper to the meeting of the couple or their relationship.

This book came with a lot of hype, which I do not think it met. It’s a fun and easy to read thriller, but mostly I felt like it was just ok. It’s fine, it’s entertaining, it’s not something that blew me away. The setting of a wedding on a remote island is very Agatha Christie, and holds a lot of promise, but it felt bloated with unnecessary filler in order to misdirect the reader over and over again.

I loved this book!! A real page turner. Told from multiple points of view. Would love this to be made into a movie.

A very different kind of murder mystery. The cover tells you that someone was murdered and that there are several people who are the likely killers, but you don't find out the WWWWW until the very last pages. I'm still not sure I liked it, but it was impossible to put down.

A really well written book that caught me by surprise at the ending. I really enjoyed the book.

This book kept me guessing right to the end. So many interesting characters who had reasons to murder or be murdered. Just when I thought I had figured it out, another flaw or secret was revealed. I had to stay up way past my bedtime to finish this one.

Life is messy. We all know this. Terrible things happen, I learned that while I was still a child. But no matter what happens, life is only a series of days. You can’t control more than a single day. But you can control one of them.
