Cynical and insecure, Iris has long been envious of her twin sister Summer's seemingly never-ending good fortune... including her perfect husband Adam. Called to Thailand to help her sister sail the family yacht to the Seychelles, Iris unexpectedly finds herself alone in the middle of the Indian Ocean. When she makes it to land, Iris allows herself to be swept up by Adam, who assumes that she is Summer. Now she has the golden life she's always envied, and is one step closer to the hundred-million-dollar inheritance left by her manipulative father. All Iris has to do is be the first of his seven children to produce an heir. How far will she go to ensure no one discovers the truth? -- adapted from jacket.
"In the vein of The Wife Between Us and Something in the Water, a debut thriller about beautiful identical twin sisters sailing a luxury yacht and racing toward a one-hundred-million-dollar inheritance"--

Unfortunately I figured out what the ending was going to be right after the sailing accident and it was down hill for the rest of the book. What I found difficult to handle was the immature dialogue in sooooooo many places. The author seemed to go off on tangents and became very wordy. It's her first book and it can only get better.

This is a pulpy thriller featuring rich people behaving badly. It features exotic locales, beautiful mirror-identical twins, a yacht, a wicked stepmother, and a $100 million inheritance with strings attached. If you’re seeking a break from reality, this a great escape.

Twin sisters Summer and Iris are the main characters who lead readers through exploits around the globe, from Thailand to Australia and beyond. Many members of this far-branching family are involved in the scheming as well.

I found myself skimming the nautical terminology in the first part of the novel, but kept going and was glad I did. After reading, I’m pondering the author’s first name and the imagery of roses throughout the story.

Gone Girl vibes but on a sailboat. I couldn’t put it down.
