Love and Anger: The Parental Dilemma by Nancy Samalin is a really helpful book for parents dealing with anger issues with their children. I read through the entire book. I skipped chapter 5, “Going it Alone.” Because it was N/A. It was how to deal with parental anger when divorced. The author recounts dialogue from her parent workshops and gives her verbal feedback to each parent as well as summarizing the situation for the reader. I give credit to whom ever(s) at the Oceanside Public Library for coming up with the idea for putting parent self-help books in the Children’s Play Area. Being there while watching my child is how I stumbled upon it, and I would not have if the self-help books were in another area. It is really a genius idea.
