Someone long ago told me that we make our own sunshine. I thought it was a bit corny at the time, but as the years have gone by, I appreciate it much more.

This book's message is in a similar vein, and flows from the concept that while we can't control the world around us (well, most of us anyway), we can control how we chose to respond to things that happen to us.

At times, the book touts the services of the Kaufmans and their institute a bit heavily. However, the message in the book, and the sometimes inspired way in which it is written makes this a worthwhile read.

If you are of a "own your life" attitude, you will find it enjoyable, but perhaps not really covering new ground.

If you tend to react to unplanned events with a wincing "why me?" attitude, or are waiting for that perfect confluence of events to make life better, this book could be life altering.
