Add a CommentVERY GOOD 2019 Fourth and final season for this enjoyabe Brit television series. The Durrells family (all but Larry) are going to return to Britain in the imminence of beginning of a European War and each has to deal with the upcoming ending of their Corfu, um, adventures.
I don't know why they bothered with this "4th" season: it was basically a repeat of Season 3, with very little new material. Having watched Season 3, it was a waste of time for me. The only thing that kept me watching was hoping for something new!
We thought this was the best of the 4 seasons. The last 15 minutes or so of the last episode was really hokey for sure. Sorry to know there will be no more seasons. It was nice to finally see the kids not being jerks like they were in earlier seasons.
All good things come to an end and the Durrells series is just one of them. I have come to love the show - quite endearing, actually - that I ended up going to Corfu one summer!
This seemed like the weakest of the four seasons. Worth watching if you watched the first three, but personally I found it a little disappointing.
