Rate this:
A gill net test fishery for chinook salmon was conducted in the lower Fraser River between 1980 and 1987. Test fishery procedures, fishing location, gear and time were standardized to provide a relative index of in-river chinook abundance and run timing. Daily fishing effort, catch by species and catch per unit effort by species are reported by set for 1980-87. Also reported are age of the daily catch, by sex and flesh colour, mean daily length and weight, the incidence of hook and predator marks, and the incidence of adipose clips and coded wire tags.
