Rate this:
The motel sector forms a large component of the Province's tourist accommodation industry, but changes in the sector's physical appearance, clientele, management, markets and financial stability prompted the provincial government to commission a study of the sector. This report profiles the industry through a brief history of the evolution of motels, descriptions of current inventory, operations and management, markets, operating revenues and expenditures, economic impact (employment and payroll), and surveys opinions of operators as to concerns for the industry. Makes recommendations for future development.
