1997 Summary of Backlog Not Satisfactorily Restocked Forest LandMicroform - 1997
A 1984 analysis estimated that there were 738,000 hectares of good and medium site Crown land in British Columbia that had been harvested, burned, or destroyed by pests or other damage, and were classified as backlog (pre-1982) not satisfactorily restocked (NSR). These areas were considered economically viable for timber production and given an high priority for silviculture activities. This report details the backlog NSR remaining in the province, updating a similar report from 1990. Data are presented by forest region, Timber Supply Area, and Tree Farm Licence. Summaries are also given by site class (good, medium, poor, low) on a provincial and regional basis.
