Site Preparation Equipment in British Columbia

Current Availability and Future Needs

Microform - 1987
Rate this:
Report of a project to review the site preparation equipment now in use in British Columbia and forecast what will be needed from 1988-92; to identify problems with current types, and suggest improvements; to list the machines currently available (North American and overseas sources) and their specifications; and to identify opportunities for Canadian manufacturers to build and sell site preparation equipment in Western Canada. The Canadian Pulp and Paper Association survey of silvicultural equipment (1985) and a comprehensive printout from the Canadian Forestry Service Mechanization of Silviculture Equipment Information Bank (1986) were consulted, as well as forest companies, silviculture contractors, and the main Canadian suppliers of this equipment. A list of Canadian suppliers is included.
