The purpose of this study is to discern the site development impacts of land use changes resulting from the conversion of gas station sites to neighbourhood convenience complexes on arterial streets. All sites selected for the study are in the City of Vancouver. These impacts are examined in terms of accessibility, environmental quality, and the need for neighbourhood commercial activity.
