Rate this:
Following crashes of nearly all ungulate herds in northeast British Columbia, the Ministry of Environment and Parks determined to break from this spiral of loss by commencing a program to bring wolf and prey populations for the Muskwas portion of the northeast into balance. The program was halted in 1985 and reinitiated in 1987. This report covers work in the program area for the year, describing surveys of various animal populations: wolf, moose and elk, mountain sheep, and caribou.
