A Yes album that's not really Yes? Well, it depends whom you talk to.
Open Your Eyes seems more like a Rabin-Squire project that was pushed through by their management. Steve Howe was not happy with the results and I mostly agree.
The Ladder, from the same period, is a better representation of Yes, but still has a lot of flaws.
If you are new to Yes, check out Fragile and Close To The Edge first.
Some people like the later, poppier Rabin-era Yes of 90125, but it's not for me.
