Kendalls life is pretty normal for a senior, aside from the fact that she’s being blackmailed into dealing drugs in fear of losing her entrance spot into a prestigious astrophysics school called YATS. It all started when she was found hooking up with Grant Powers, her best friends alleged boyfriend. Someone seized her hooking up with Grant as an opportunity to hack into her facebook profile, and frame her for stealing “ecstasy”(drugs) from a dealer named Mason. As part of a deal with Mason, Kendall makes regular deliveries of this drugs, until she catches her hacker in exchange for Mason not getting her kicked out of the YATS program. Honestly, when I started this book I was very bored with it, it was the same everyday story of what happens to a good girl gone bad. However, after sticking with it I started to enjoy how Kendall could pop into a super confident character who wasn't afraid of anything, and the next second be a shy senior who was embarrassed about what happened with Grant Powers.I also enjoyed how Kendall had an amazing friend who did not care about anyone else’s opinion of her, and how that influenced Kendall in the long run. This book is super intense, and I enjoyed how the plot thickens through every page, and the intensity keeps building up till the very end. Maxine Kaplan’s, “The Accidental Bad Girl,” is a book you will love and enjoy, if you give it some time, and stick to it. Recommended for people over the age of fifteen who enjoy strong female leadership, high school drama, action, and a bit of intense romance. -Tej
