Very complex mystery. The denouement takes considerable time to wind up all the parts of the story. However, Lippman juggles all the parts of her story admirably and ties up all the loose ends in a satisfying manner. Tess Monaghan manages to confront the villains and disarm them figuratively so that they are not a threat to her family.
