Add a CommentI highly recommend this! With a fascinating story of the struggle for rule and survival, the filmmaker tells a gripping drama to preserve the existence of this real but relatively unknown people in the remote Himalayan village. The "how the movie was made" bonus feature is almost as interesting as the actual film, and reveals the environmental challenges in filming in the Himalayas, and that virtually none of the actors were professional actors, but were locals.
If Blockbuster was still open it would be on the 'hidden gem' shelf. pretty cool but slow moving story of a unique culture where male ego's collide & dilemmas involving science/facts vs. superstition/religion. ( I want a pet Yak!)
Review title: Treacherous Terrain.
*Intense. * Dramatic. *Suspenseful. *Engaging. *Gripping. *Succeed & survive or fail & sure death will come to the protagonists. *Viewers learn the importance of true leadership. *And learn how pride can impact decisions. Allows viewers to observe how pride guides decisions, and viewers receive some insight about respecting other people. **Has many tension-filled moments in this DVD. Some questions to consider: leadership - what type of leadership will viewers observe? And how does it impact the story's outcome.
**Great DVD.
