Now a grown man, Seth Quinn returns from Europe as a successful painter to settle down on Maryland's Eastern Shore, surrounded by the Quinn brothers who took him in and raised him when his drug-addicted mother could not. But a lot has changed in St. Christopher since he's been gone--and the most intriguing change is the presence of Dru Whitcomb Banks. A city girl who's opened a florist shop in the seaside town, she craves independence and the challenge of establishing herself without the influence of her wealthy connections. But storms are brewing that will soon put Seth and Dru's budding relationship to the test. Dru's past has made her sensitive to deception and slow to trust. And Seth's past has made him a target of blackmail--as a secret he's kept hidden for years threatens to explode.

This is the final book in the Chesapeake Bay saga. Individually, I've rated each of the books three stars. But I rate the four books together as four stars. I wanted to know more about the story thread that began in book one.

Returning as a successful artist to the home of the family that adopted him, Seth Quinn is intrigued by independent newcomer Dru Whitcomb Banks, who is hesitant to trust Seth, while dark secrets from the past threaten the entire Quinn family. [from NoveList Plus]

Another Quinn family story; Seth Quinn, now a successful artist, returns home to Chesapeake Bay and his family. He meets and falls in love with Drusilla, a poor-little rich girl who moved to Chesapeake to start a life of her own. Life would be grand if not for someone from Seth's past blackmailing him, threatening him, and everyone he loves. Typical Nora Roberts with a good dose of humour.
