An absolute delight to watch and a classic. Shades of days gone by at the beach. Family favourite. a sense of humour is required . the horse scene is one of the funniest moments. Peter Sellers was a big fan of Tati.

Tati is very funny in the style of silent comedians and mime. I found it the plot, such as it was, too slow in developing. Finally I turned it off because I loved the gags but was annoyed by the slow pace of the plot. We like things to move much faster nowadays.

You do not need to understand French for the Tati's movies. 1960 humour. Well done but lengthy and it gets a little boring.
Most likely Rowan Atkinson got inspired with the Mr Bean's serie.
