This document summarizes the proceedings of a two-day workshop held to develop a shared understanding & commitment to an organizational vision, mission, values, & objectives to strategically position the Peace/Williston Fish & Wildlife Compensation Program for future success. The main purpose of this Program is to undertake projects for the protection of fish & wildlife in areas of the Peace River Basin impacted by the development of the Bennett & Peace Canyon dams. Issues covered in the workshop include: Program emphasis & priorities; the geographical boundaries of the Program; roles & responsibilities of those involved; partnerships; secondment of BC Hydro employees; public involvement & consultation; evaluation & accountability; funding; project management; and direction setting. The final part lists long-term strategic objectives and specific strategies related to each objective.
