2001 BC College and Institute Aboriginal Former Student Outcomes
Special Report on Aboriginal Former Students From the 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2001 BC College and Institute Student Outcomes SurveysMicroform - 2002
Examines the post-graduation outcomes of Aboriginal former students who were enrolled in British Columbia public colleges and institutes. The report is based on survey data collected in 1995, 1997, 1999, and 2001 collected about nine to 20 months after students completed all or a significant portion of their program. Comparisons are made with non-Aboriginal students, and a trend analysis is also presented for the outcomes from the survey years. Survey results presented include student demographics, reasons for enrolling, previous education of students, employment and earnings, level of satisfaction with studies and with the quality of skill development received, opinions of education quality, means of financing education, likeliness of transferring to further education, and special challenges faced as Aboriginals.
